Carole A. Crumley

Carole Crumley, Shalem’s Senior Program Director, is an Episcopal priest and Director of Shalem's Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership: Going Deeper Program. She is a widely respected leader of ecumenical retreats, groups, and conferences, and a seasoned pilgrimage guide to sacred sites throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Ann Dean

Ann Dean is Director of Shalem's Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups & Retreats Program and Director of the Personal Spiritual Deepening Program Leadership Initiative.  Ann is a spiritual director and nationally-known leader of retreats and conferences for deepening the life of prayer and developing new structures committed to contemplative prayer, Earth care and social justice.  She has been a minister in the ecumenical community of the Church of the Saviour since 1994 and is a member of the Dayspring Retreat Mission Group. 

Liz Ward

Liz Ward, Director of Shalem's Spiritual Guidance Program Class, is an Episcopal layperson and a graduate of the 1994 SGP Class.  She is an experienced spiritual guide and retreat leader and has mentored local churches in communal discernment for many years.  She also serves as a spiritual director at Virginia Theological Seminary and as an elected member of the Commission on Ministry and a discernment facilitator for the Diocese of Virginia.
