By Car:

From Virginia and Points South

Take I-495 (Capital Beltway) north across the American Legion Bridge.  Continue on I-495 (stay in right lanes) past the I-270 split to the exit at Old Georgetown Road (MD Rt. 187). Turn left off the exit ramp onto Old Georgetown Road north. Turn right at third traffic light onto Cheshire Drive, then make an immediate right onto Grosvenor Lane. Continue .8 mile to the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center on the right.  Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building. Shalem is located in Suite 140 within the Sullivan Building.

From Baltimore and Points North And East

Take I-95 to Route I-495 (Capital Beltway) west toward Silver Spring. Exit at Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355 (Bethesda/Rockville). Stay in right lane following signs for Bethesda, then continue bearing right and follow signs for Grosvenor Lane. Go through traffic light (crossing Wisconsin Avenue), continue on Grosvenor Lane up hill .2 mile to entrance to Renewable Natural Resources Center on the left.  Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building. Shalem is located in Suite 140 within the Sullivan Building.

From Frederick and Points North And West

Take I-270 from Frederick south toward Rockville/ Bethesda. At the I-270 split (prior to the Capital Beltway), take the left fork towards Silver Spring, going east.  Take the next exit to Old Georgetown Road, continuing on the exit ramp to the second traffic light and bearing right onto Old Georgetown Road south.  Turn left at third traffic light onto Cheshire Drive, then make an immediate right onto Grosvenor Lane. Continue .8 mile to entrance to Renewable Natural Resources Center on the right.  Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building. From Washington, D.C.

Take Wisconsin Avenue north through Bethesda. Immediately after crossing Route I-495 (Capital Beltway), bear right and follow signs for Grosvenor Lane. Go through traffic light (crossing Wisconsin Avenue), continue on Grosvenor Lane up hill .2 mile to entrance to Renewable Natural Resources Center on the left. (Alternately, take Connecticut or Georgia Avenue north to I-495 west, then follow directions as from Baltimore.)  Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building. Shalem is located in Suite 140 within the Sullivan Building.

Take Metrorail to the Grosvenor stop on the Red Line. Take a left once you go through the turnstiles and catch a Montgomery County RIDE-ON bus #6. The bus will take you up Grosvenor Lane to a stop right across the street from the Renewable Natural Resources Center.   Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building.  Shalem is located in Suite 140 within the Sullivan Building.

Walking Information from the Metro

From the Grosvenor Metro, it is an easy 10-15-minute walk. Take a right through the turnstiles, and a left to head south on Rockville Pike (as if you were heading back toward NIH or downtown Bethesda). Cross Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane and continue south a few yards to the intersection of Grosvenor Lane. (Alternately, go down escalator, through tunnel, and turn left at apartment complex.) Turn right onto Grosvenor Lane. Walk up the hill over an overpass and turn left into the Renewable Natural Resources Center.  Please note that the entrance to the Renewable Natural Resources Center (where Shalem is located) is heavily wooded.  Upon entering the Center grounds, follow the signs for the Sullivan Building. Shalem is located in Suite 140 within the Sullivan Building.
